Rank: games and win rate together. Builds are ordered by the lead over games of the same length times games ÷ (games + 30,000), so a build with few games gets less credit for its lead. Number under each icon: win rate difference against items at the same price. Games in this build where the item was bought are compared with games of the same length (5-min steps), then the average of items at the same price is taken away. Expensive items are bought more in games with Souls to spare (winning ones), so only items at the same price are compared. Click an item for its effects and full stats. Win rates shown are for the build group, not for holding all 12 items of the final build at once.

Abilities

1. Setup Bishop 20m

Create a bishop that remains in place indefinitely. Move ( ): Moves the bishop, applying a fading slow and dealing spirit damage to enemies it passes through. After a delay, activates diagonal squares that deal additional spirit damage when stepped on.Re-activate to recall all bishops, ending the ability.

Against it: Avoid the bishop's path and the diagonal squares

2. Kingside Knight 28m

Promote an ally to be a knight, granting bonus stamina and barrier for a duration. If self-cast you develop yourself as king instead, granting double the barrier but no stamina. Move ( ): Moves the piece, making it invulnerable during the duration before landing. If self-cast, re-activate the ability to move instead.

Against it: Fight an enemy with the barrier after it wears off

3. Rook Battery 12m

Release a pair of rooks that travel forward, dealing spirit damage and applying immobilize. If the rooks hit a wall, they reflect back in the opposite direction. Re-Activate: Split the rooks perpendicularly.

Against it: Account for rooks bouncing back off walls when dodging

4. Develop Queen 30m

Against it: Spread out from your allies near Solomon when his ultimate is ready

Playing against

  • Don't step on the diagonal squares around the bishop
  • Rooks bounce back off walls, so stay alert near walls
  • Target Solomon himself rather than the ally with the barrier

Counter items

Spirit ResilienceDebuff Reducer

Strengths

  • Bishop creates long-lasting danger zones
  • Kingside Knight gives allies a barrier
  • Rooks bounce off walls and hold enemies from odd angles

Weaknesses

  • Needs time to set up pieces, weak to ambushes
  • Area control weakens in open spaces
  • Easy to go around once his piece positions are read

Game plan

Laning

Place the bishop on lane paths and poke by holding enemies with rooks.

Mid game

Place the bishop at key spots to control the area and knight your allies.

Late game

Control the fight area with your pieces and focus on protecting allies and control.

Power spikes

Once his Bishop and Rook upgrades are in, he locks down narrow paths reliably. His team fight impact grows when Develop Queen is ready.

With them on your team

  • When promoted to knight, move boldly with the extra Stamina
  • Focus fire right away on enemies held by the rooks
